July Classes

The July class schedule has been posted on the website. We have some great one day workshops (Cast-On/Bind-Off, Beginning Knitting, Crocheted Beach Bag, Needle Felted Llama and more!) as well as a number of longer classes (Christmas in July, Via Diagonale and a Mango Moon crocheted wrap, just to name a few). Sign up soon-- July will be here before you know it!!

What a fun Birthday Party!

Saturday brought a cool breeze and temps in the 80's...just perfect for a birthday celebration! So many of you came by the shop, called or sent cards. Thanks for everything!
Many of you were unable to come and we missed you. Summertime is a busy season for all!!

Jan and Sharon fascinated us with their spinning. Shanna brought in bouquets of balloons. Laura assisted several in a mini-dying workshop. Alice had a beautiful arrangement of summer flowers delivered on Friday.
Susan, Belva and Jan made delicious Key Lime, Chocolate Frosty, and Oreo cookie ice cream. I might have had 5 bowls total (very small servings, of course). Maggie and Mom (Carol) came by to help and hang out.

We met new customers,
visited with many current friends, and had one of our upcoming yarn campers drop by. I was overwhelmed and delighted with the crowd. You guys made the day spectacular!!

Happy summertime knitting....
if we have another day in the 80's and a cool, gentle breeze,
what do you think about Knit Night outside? Iced cold Lemonade, anyone?

Knit Picky is turning One!!!!

Help us celebrate our one year anniversary at our birthday party on Saturday, June 23. Stop by anytime between10am and 4pm for ice cream, door prizes and spinning and dyeing demos and mini-lessons. Many of you have mentioned an interest in learning to use a drop spindle or spinning wheel, or learning to dye your own yarn. This is the perfect opportunity to get started! And even if you aren't into spinning or dyeing, we know you will enjoy the home made ice cream (thanks Susan and Belva!) and an opportunity to sit and knit together. Plus Jo and Ann Marie brought back some special treats from Market that we will be giving away as door prizes. See you there!!

English Garden Felted Carpetbag FINISHED!

I JUST finished putting on all the flowers and leaves! The handles actually aren't attached yet, they're just lying there, but you get the idea :) I love it so much! This bag was incredibly fun to knit! I have to give thanks to Frann for helping me felt it. I've felted a few times before, but I wanted some help so I wouldn't mess it up. I can't wait for you all to see it in person :)
